The new Shanghai Tang's White Tea Rouge candle, designed with a purple crystal glass base and a removable porcelain lid from Jindezhen, the famous porcelain capital, using complex and rigorous craftsmanship and special kiln firing techniques to ensure a flowless result. During the first firing process, the porcelain lid is fired at 1320°C, then a pattern containing real gold is affixed to the lid, and the second firing is done at 800°C. The lid is removable so that both the porcelain lid and the glass container can be reused to hold other objects or as a flower vase.
The porcelain lid is decorated with Shanghai's exclusive ""Royal Tea Garden - Fragrant Tea"", which depicts the lively and interesting royal tea garden with fine and elegant hand-painting. Butterflies are flying among the tea trees and golden tea leaves still growing are displayed. The design also combines Western asymmetrical techniques and oriental gold embellishment, the perfect way for Shanghai Tang to combine Chinese and Western creativity.
