Bone China Collection
Bone china is a type of porcelain with an added magical ingredient -- cattle bone ash, which gives bone china its superior whiteness, translucency and strength, allowing for finer and more exquisite products. Chinese porcelain can be traced back to 15th century BC in Chinese history, eventually reaching Europe and the rest of the world via the fabled 'Silk Road' in northern China in the 14th century.
Due to the scarcity of the raw materials and dexterity of craftsmanship required, bone china remains a prized luxury product and one of the most expensive types of porcelain until today.
