Complementarity & Moderation
Through a combination of Chinese and Western tailoring,
designers were able to incorporate both Chinese classic and
modern undertones in the collection. Abstract and
contemporary colors and patterns, as well as mixed
textures, are used to bring customers a comprehensive
experience of the tale of “rocks and trees”.
The Golden Pleats
Inspired by traditional Chinese folding
fans, the core ideas of Confucianism -
Benevolence means kindness and shares
a pronunciation with ‘fan’. The draping
design takes inspiration from the
silhouette of a folding fan, with elements
of rocks and trees in Chinese garden.
The Brushstrokes
The ”Flying White" brushstroke in a Chinese
calligraphy, presenting the free and unrestricted.
Such a technique gives the resulting piece a loose
and laidback atmosphere. Different to the
traditionally finely-illustrated ink flowers, this
novel pattern injects the classical beauty with a
modern touch.
The Flowers & Trees
Exploring different harmonious and colliding
structures. Through the neutral colours and
varying textures of petrified trees, we paint a
nonchalant yet romantic picture of
interdependence, complementarity and
moderation, to reflect the unpretentious
elegance and composure of the modern women.
